Care Support Worker Staff - Children & Young People

 We are seeking experienced people to support carers of children with support needs in the London Borough of Bexley and surrounding areas.

Sucessful applicants will support children and young people with a diverse range of needs, delivering a high quality service of personal, practical and emotional support, within the home or on outside activities.

We are primarily looking for staff that are able to work early mornings,after school ,weekends and holiday times

In return we offer a competitive hourly rate, a comprehensive Skills for Care induction programme and an opportunity to attain a formal care qualification

 Trustee Vacancies

Treasurer

 

Crossroads Care Bexley currently has a Board of seven carefully selected Trustee Directors from diverse  professional backgrounds.  We have recently created a new position of Trustee Treasurer and a unique opportunity now exists for an appropriately qualified individual to join our Board.

 

The post holder will Chair the Finance and General Purposes Committee and take the strategic lead in overseeing the financial affairs of Crossroads Care Bexley, monitoring and confirming its financial viability and ensuring that proper financial records and procedures are maintained. A separate Management Accountant is employed to deal with the day to day, operational accounting and book keeping.

 

If you are a qualified accountant, or hold a suitable professional accountancy qualification, we would be delighted to hear from you.  We are also happy to consider applications from suitably qualified accountancy professionals who are, or would be, unable to become a Trustee, but are willing to offer pro bono services for the above.

The Treasurer takes the lead in overseeing the financial affairs of CCB ensuring its financial viability, and ensuring that proper financial records and procedures are maintained. The Treasurer will assist othertrustees on financial governance matters by interpreting and explaining accounting requirements, ensuring that the board receives reports containing the information trustees need in an 'easy to understand' format, and helping trustees guide any other professional advisers they have appointed.

We are seeking interested and committed people to join our Board of Trustees to help us further achieve our aims and charitable objectives. We are particularly interested in applicants with the following backgrounds/experience:

  • Treasurer
  • Fundraising
  • Marketing
  • Finance
  • Service Users
  • Legal
  • Project Planning

The Role:

  • Contribute to the development of services provided by Crossroads Care Bexley
  • Provide overall strategic governance of all of the charity's activities to ensure its financial stability.
  • Attend and participate actively in Board meetings and sub-committees.

The attributes to make a strong overall contribution to the work of the Board. The role of a Trustee is voluntary and therefore unpaid, but travel and other expenses will be reimbursed.
